Interlock system, mainly for circulating pumps

Description
The blocking equipment prevents reverse motion and is usable especially for circulating pumps of primary circuits of nuclear power plants. The equipment consists of a rotating cylindrical body with a cylindrical hollow on one side with grooves provided along its whole length. The grooves are wedge shaped in cross section. Freely placed in the grooves are small rollers. Between the rollers and the shaft is a ring which is firmly attached to the stator. The cylindrical body is firmly attached to the shaft of the pump drive. (M.D.)
