Patent

Selective extraction process for transition metals from acid solutions by systems of nitrogenous polydente ligands and ion exchangers

Description

The transition metal Ni, Co, Rh or Ru is complexed with a ligand comprising, at least, 2 electron donor nitrogen atoms (bipyridines, tripyridines, phenantrolines, triazines or substituted derivatives). The complex is extracted by an organic phase comprising an extractant exchanging cations (dialkylsulfonaphtalene acid or alkylphosphoric acid)
