Equilibrium of a plasma with finite Larmor radius in open confinement systems
Description
Equilibrium plasma configurations in an open confinement system with provision for effects of ion finite Larmor radiuS were studied. An equation, which equilibrium distribution of plasma pressure in an open confinement system must satisfy to, were derived. It is shown that qualitatively new equilibria appear both within the range of a large and small Larmor radii. For the latter case the solution, where effects of finite Larmor radius result in appearance of local vortex-like structures through the background of mAgneto-hydrodynamic equilibrium, was obtained
