On-stream particle-size analysis from continuous measurement of pulp density with nuclear gages
Description
A method is described using two nuclear gages for the continuous measurement of pulp density in two chambers divided by a replaceable sieve. The theory and accuracy of measurement are given. For the region of 0-50 wt. % of solid material the reproducibility is +-0.0005 units of specific weight. The apparatus is described which was used for the experimental verification of the method and the determination of the kinetics of the propagation of particles by the sieve and the apparatus response time are described.
