Early development of spinodal decomposition in neutron-irradiated Fe-35.5Ni-7.5Cr at 5500C
Description
In Fe-35Ni-7.5Cr irradiated at 5500C to 2.5 x 1022 n/cm2 (E > 0.1 MeV) the spinodal decomposition observed at higher irradiation temperatures and higher neutron exposures is just beginning to form. The decomposition appears to begin very heterogeneously and may be assisted by the action of the inverse Kirkendall mechanism operating at various microstructural sinks
