This draft DIN specification describes the German standard method for detecting cadmium in water by means of atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The following subjects are discussed: 1. Der DIN Entwurf beschreibt die das deutsche Einheitsverfahren zur Bestimmung von Cadmium mittels Atomabsorptionsspektroskopie (AAS) in Wasser. Folgende Abschnitte sind enthalten: 1. Allgemeine Angaben, 2. Bestimmung von Cadmium mittels Atomabsorptionsspektroskopie in der Luft-Acetylen-Flamme (Massenkonzentrationen 0,05 bis 1,0 mg/l), 3. Bestimmung von Cadmium mittels Atomabsorptionsspektroskipie im Grafitrohrofen (Massenkonzentrationen 0,3 bis 3 μg/l). Die Abschnitte 2 und 3 sind jeweils unterteilt in 1. Anwendungsbereich, 2.
