One loop corrections to elastic electron-(muon) neutrino scattering
Description
The author gives the analytic expressions for the cross sections of the processes e + nu/sub μ/ → e + nu/sub μ/ and e + anti-nu/sub μ/ to order g6. The author ignores finite contributions of the form g6(E/sup n//M/sup n/) where E is on the order of the c.m. energy and M is the vector boson mass. These analytic expressions should soon be tested thanks to recent advances in the performance of high statistics measurements of neutrino electron scattering. To perform this calculation, it is first necessary to fix the free parameters involved. The author also presents a calculation for the processes needed to fix these parameters to order g6. Finally, the author presents the radiative corrections to the vector boson masses. Assuming some value for the weak mixing angle, all the above corrections are numerically evaluated
