Description
First measurements of the solubility of tritium in bulk palladium are reported in the pressure range 0.016 <= p <= 1.33 bar, temperature range 60 <= T <= 400 deg C and concentration range 0.0015 <= x <= 0.020 (for x in PdTsub(x)). The solubility of tritium at low concentrations of PdTsub(x) follows the trend of the isotopic effect of the solubility observed for PdHsub(x) and PdDsub(x). In addition, the partial molar enthalpies and non-configurational entropies show a significant temperature dependence in agreement with previous work on the PdHsub(x) and PdDsub(x) systems. (author)
