Description

The new high temperature method of solid high level wastes (HLW) immobilization within metalloceramic matrix is considered. That method is realized at 1500-2500oC using a disposable rig. It is based on exothermic chemical reactions of metalloceramic synthesis in the condensed combustion condition. The method peculiarity is that both metalloceramic matrix synthesis and chemical HLW immobilization within this matrix are realized in a narrow zone of combustion. The zone of combustion is arbitrarily moving down along pressing from initial charge. The charge consists of fuel components powders and HLW powders or granules. The HLW simulators, character of combustion, composition of synthesis production are given. (author)
