Efficiency calibration of Si(Li) detectors with X-ray reference sources at energies between 1 and 5 keV

Description

Fluorescence sources were prepared and their KX-ray-emission rates certified with an accuracy of better than 2% using a gas-flow proportional counter in a defind low-solid-angle setup. These sources were used for the efficiency calibration of a Si(Li) detector at the characteristic KX-ray energies of Al, Cl, Ca and Ti. (orig.)
