Properties of the charged photopion production operator and the 2H(γ,π+)2n cross section

Description
Threshold photopion production from the proton and the deuteron is calculated with the γNπ amplitudes of Blomqvist and Laget. The epsilon-circumflexxsigma-arrow-right operator is found to dominate both cross sections up to 60 MeV above threshold. The results show agreement with recent 2H(γ,π+)2n measurements
