Experimental study of pressure profile on a full and conducting sphere in presence of a transverse magnetic field
Description
Experimental readings of pressure profile on full and conducting spheres in presence of a magnetic field transverse to the average direction of the flow of a conducting liquid. Applying of a magnetic field introduces a dissymmetry on the pressure distribution. Evolution of this dissymmetry, of the stagnation point pressure and of drag coefficient for 107 <=Re<=13,450 and 0<=M<=160

Releves experimentaux de la distribution des pressions sur des spheres pleines et electroconductrices en presence d'un champ d'induction magnetique transversal a la direction moyenne de l'ecoulement d'un liquide electroconducteur. On note que l'application d'un champ magnetique introduit une dissymetrie dans la repartition des pressions.
