Description
β-plus decay properties of several mirror nuclides in the f7/2 shell including 43Ti, 49Mn, 51Fe, 53gCo and 55Ni were investigated. Half-lives were measured. A novel ISOL method, the ion guide isotope separation on-line was used. The He-jet technique coupled with β-γ coincidence measurements have resulted in highly accurate half-life values, in detailed studies of level schemes and in extensive mapping of Gamow-Teller strength.
