Gapless fermion excitations on vortices in superfluids and superconductors
Description
A quantum vortex in superfluids and superconducting Fermi systems is characterized by gapless fermion excitations localized in the vortex core. The number of branches of gapless excitations - fermion zero modes - varies from zero to is an element ofF/Δ> 1 depending on the vortex core structure
