On initial period of interaction of primary aliphatic alcohols with ortho-boric acid

Studied is the kinetics of reaction of mixture of primary aliphatic alcohols C11-C15, having the mean molecular weight of 210.9, with ortho-boric acid. The reaction has been carried out at 50-80 deg C. It is stated, that alcohol interaction rate with soluted acid significantly surpasses the interaction rate on the surface of unsoluted acid. The concentration of soluted ortho-boric acid in alcohols is a constant value and doesn't change with its total content increasing in the system
