Description
Reactions of hot N-13-atoms produced in an aqueous medium have been studied. The authors attempted to study the behaviour of N-13 in water by irradiating with 26 MeV D+Be neutrons solutions of NaNO3 and NH4F of different concentrations and extrapolating the analysis results to zero concentration. The data are tabulated together with the extrapolated values. The amount of NH4+-13 formed is strictly proportional to the NH4F concentration and extrapolates to zero for pure water. (author)
