Ultrafast exciton dynamics in thin films and nanoaggregates of polyaromatic molecules

  • 1. Radiation and Photochemistry Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

Singlet exciton fission (SF) process is an alternative wayout of multiexciton generation for organic semiconductor. SF is a photophysical process in which two triplet excitons is being produce by using the energy of a singlet exciton. Femtosecond resolved optical-pump-probe spectroscopy has served as an essential tool in SF research. Time resolved differential transient absorption tracks the decay of singlet exciton and concomitant rise of spectral feature of triplet exciton
