Development and applications of isotope radiography in the manufacture of high pressure boilers and nuclear components
Description
The use of isotope radiography in the manufacture of high pressure boilers and other nuclear components is discussed. The different types of cameras and sources to suit the needs and change in technologies are described in brief. Use of isotopes in the examination of steel-castings, boiler drum welds and other speciality applications are dealt with. The need for a regional centre of the Isotope Division of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay, to cater to the industries' requirements is emphasised. (author)
