ε'/ε and the electric dipole moment of the neutron in left-right-symmetric models

Description
We observe that the recent results of ε'/ε enable us to place a lower bound on the left-right mixing parameter ξ in pseudomanifest left-right-symmetric models: tanξ≥2.0 x 10/sup -6/. We give the complete expression for the neutron electric dipole moment D/sub n/ and show that it satisfies D/sub n/<7.6 x 10/sup -24/ (e cm). In a particular model, due to Chang, we can relate D/sub n/ to ε'/ε and place limits on D/sub n/: 1.9 x 10/sup -26/ (e cm)≥D/sub n/≥1.9 x 10/sup -27/ (e cm)
