Provisions and active measures to preclude guillotine breaks in piping systems of pressurized water reactors

Description

The conditions and active measures which preclude a spontaneous failure of pipings are shown. With the basic safety concept a quality standard is achieved characterized by high-grade material properties, a structure that is adequate to the loads to which the components will be subjected in service and is amenable to inspection, precise load and stress evaluation, optimized manufacturing and operation monitoring. The possible failure types are described and the safety against failure is assessed. (author)

Mostram-se as condicoes e medidas espontaneas que evitam a falha espontanea de tubulacoes. Com o conceito de seguranca basica um padrao de qualidade e alcancado e caracterizado pelas propriedades materiais de alto grau, uma estrutura que e adequada a cargas cujas componentes estarao submetidas a operacao e e acessivel a inspecao, carga precisa e avaliacao de tensao, fabricacao otimizada e monitoracao em operacao. Os possiveis tipos de falha sao descritos e a seguranca contra falha e avaliada. (M.C.K.)
