Liquid-phase reduction of o-nitrophenol on osmium-platinum catalysts deposited on thorium oxide

The title reduction over 1% Os-Pt/ThO2 proceeded via an ion-radical mechanism. Addition of Os increased the catalytic activity of Pt; the highest activity was obtained at 40:60 Os/Pt
