Magnesium extraction and its effect on distribution of curium, californium and europium in D2EHPA-diluent-citric acid-Mg(NO3)2 system
Description
Magnesium extraction by D2EHPA solutions from nitrate solutions (concentration from 0.04 to 0.82 mol/l) containing citric acid (pH=3.0) is investigated. It is stated that different degrees of extracting agent saturation comply with the different composition of extractable complex: from MgA2x3HA at low degrees of saturation to MgA2xHA. Presence of magnesium in extraction system suppresses europium, curium and califorerium extraction and practicaly doesn't effect their separation
