π/e discrimination with a lead liquid argon calorimeter

Description
The separation of single pions from electrons has been measured with a lead liquid argon calorimeter. The fraction of pions faking an electron is determined to be 7 x 10-3 at 2.0 GeV/c pion momentum. (orig.)
