Description
Voles inhabiting radiation biogeocenoses were monitored singe 1986. Additionally the voles were irradiated and voles of non-contaminated areas were also exposed to irradiation. The radiosensitivity of the animals was judged by average life span. Evolution processes were shown to transform population as in case of considerable level of contamination and in case of low contamination. This fact should be taken into consideration when assessing effect of increasing natural background on biological objects
