Description
The path integral formulation of many-body systems in terms of collective fields, previously developed for two-body forces, is extended to arbitrary many-body interactions. In particular, the time-dependent mean-field approximation to quantum transition amplitudes is derived for such interactions. Furthermore the problem of how to incorporate properly the exchange terms in lowest order mean-field approximation is solved. (orig.)
