Systematic of polarization in heavy ion reactions
Description
Experimental results on systematic behaviour of 12B polarization produced in heavy ion reactions are reviewed. Polarization has been observed via asymmetry measurements of β rays from 12B. Balance of the attractive inter-nuclear force and the repulsive Coulomb force determines the sign of polarization in the deep-inelastic region. Contribution of direct process plays an important role in determining the sign of polarization in the quasi-elastic region
