Qualification of ISI for Bulgarian NPP: UK support

UK Regulator (NII) Phare project provides an assistance to the Bulgarian Regulator in setting up the technical infrastructure for inspection qualification consistent with IAEA Guidelines and western European practice. The Strategy Document defines the methodology for inspection qualification and general roles and responsibilities of the involved organizations. The Qualification Inputs Document describes the information required for the Technical Specifications (component details, inspection aims and limitations). It applies the idea of qualification level - level 1(lowest) to level 3 (highest). The Qualification Procedure Document provides a guidance to the utility ('Kozloduy' NPP) on the preparation of Qualification Procedures (QP). The appendix provides a specific guidance on the performance of the all aspects of qualification at different levels and recommendations for technical justification. QB Method Working Document provides guidance for the Qualification Body. Facilities and Resources Document defines the facilities and resources required for the Qualification Body to perform the tasks described in the Method Working Document. High level QA Document defines the principles of quality control. Other issues and progress report are also presented
