Causes of brittleness and plasticizing methods of intermetallic alloys

Description

Sources of brittleness of oriented intermetallic alloys and ways of modification of the oriented crystalline structure, causing heightening its symmetry have been presented. An influence of the electron concentration on the type of the orientation of the A3B alloy crystalline structure and an influence of the ratio of the component atom rays on the orientation of the crystalline structure were analysed. Views on ways to improve the cleavable brittle cracking resistance and factors controlling the grain boundary structure have been presented. (author). 74 refs, 7 figs, 1 tab
