Hadronic contributions to the g-2 of the muon

Description
We compute the hadronic vacuum-polarization contributions a/sub v/ to the muon anomalous magnetic moment a/sub μ/. To improve on previous calculations, we use QCD at large energies, and exploit the analyticity properties of the pion form factor. We find a/sub v/ = (7100 +- 105 +- 49) x 10-11 , with which we have a/sub μ/(theory) = (116 592 051 +- 114 +- 49) x 10-11. Purely QCD bounds for a/sub v/ are also presented
