Model-free views of deep inelastic scattering

Creators

Description

A survey of related theoretical and experimental results concerning inelastic scattering of unpolarized particles sets the stage for a discussion of deep inelastic scattering using the double spectral formalism. The conclusion is reached that the general characteristics of deep inelastic scattering are reasonable interpolations between the properties of the low energy resonance region and the high energy diffraction region without any need for reference to speculative dynamic models
