High energy radiation detector

Description

The high energy radiation detector described comprises a set of closely spaced wedge reflectors. Each wedge reflector is composed of three sides forming identical isoceles triangles with a common apex and an open base forming an equilateral triangle. The length of one side of the base is less than the thickness of the coat of material sensitive to high energy radiation. The wedge reflectors reflect the light photons spreading to the rear of the coat in such a way that each reflected track is parallel to the incident track of the light photon spreading rearwards. The angle of the three isosceles triangles with a common apex is between 85 and 95 deg. The first main surface of the coat of high energy radiation sensitive material is in contact with the projecting edges of the surface of the wedge reflectors of the reflecting element

Abstract (French)

On presente un detecteur de rayonnement a haute energie, comprenant un ensemble de reflecteurs coins espaces tres proches les uns des autres. Chaque reflecteur-coin se compose de trois cotes formant des triangles isoceles identiques, un sommet commun et une base ouverte formant un triangle equilateral. La longueur d'un cote de la base est moindre que l'epaisseur de la couche de materiau sensible au rayonnement d'energie elevee. Les reflecteurs coins reflechissent les photons de lumiere se propageant vers l'arriere dans la couche de sorte que chaque trajet reflechi soit parallele au trajet incident du photon de lumiere se propageant vers l'arriere. L'angle des trois triangles isoceles au sommet commun est compris entre 85 et 95 deg. La premiere surface principale de la couche de materiau sensible au rayonnement d'energie elevee est en contact avec les bords saillants de la surface des reflecteurs-coins de l'element reflechissant
