Description
The influence of 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyethanol (2,4,5-TE) on the excision repair system was studied in mice spleen cells. The incorporation of labelled thymidine into the DNA of cells treated with 10-4 M 2,4,5-TE was significantly lowered after irradiation both with uv and gamma radiation. The determinaton of DNA sedimantation in alkaline saccharose gradient after gamma irradiation yielded no repair of single-strand breaks after treatment with 5x10-5 M 2,4,5-TE. (G.G.)
