Description of PFN probe electronic circuits

The PFN probe has three modules: (1) the dc-dc converter/reservoir control module; (2) the pulse generating assembly module; (3) the detector/TTA module. The configuration of these modules within the probe casing is shown. At present the modules are tied together with connectors. To minimize noise pickup, coaxial pins were employed for signal lines. Because these connectors proved to be extremely difficult to procure, a design eliminating connectors and hard-wiring the modules together has been completed
