Strategies for HPME/DCH: • Depressurize the RCS/RPV: – Restore secondary side cooling (PWR); – Operate isolation condenser (BWR); – Depressurize the steam generator(s) (PWR); – Open primary safety valves (BWR & PWR); – Open main steam drain lines (BWR). RCS depressurization also allows injection from low pressure sources.
