Description
The screened form factors obtained from the Aschroft's empty core model pseudopotential for electron-ion interaction by employing Geldart and Vosko screening have been used for the prediction of the superconducting state properties viz. electron-phonon coupling strength λ, Coulomb pseudopotential μ*, transition temperature Tc, isotope effect exponent α, and the interaction strength N0V of binary metallic glass Ca70Mg30. The results obtained are in the expected range. The obtained Tc value of 17 K suggests suitability of this metallic glass for its use as lossless transmission line for cryogenic applications. (orig.)
