Bulletin of the radioactivity. No. 77. January-December, 1993

Description

This report is the results of the radioactivity observation which was carried out by Japan Meteorological Agency mainly in 1993. The positions of 19 observation stations and 5 observation ships and their items of observation are shown. Collected samples are sent regularly to Geochemical Laboratory of Meteorological Research Institute of Japan Meteorological Agency in Tsukuba for the identification and measurement of the specified items. For the gross beta radioactivity in precipitation, the radioactivity in airborne dusts, the monthly mean Sr-90 concentration in airborne dusts, the gross beta radioactivity in seawater, the monthly and yearly deposition of Sr-89, Sr-90 and Cs-137, the spatial gamma ray dose rate at the monitoring posts, and the vertical distribution of radioactivity in free atmosphere, the prescribed time point of carrying out the observation, the method of sampling, the treatment of samples, the method of measurement, the adoption of the revised values and the method of indication are explained. The data obtained for the above itmes are reported. (K.I.)
