Direct visualization of heavy ion tracks in evaporated AgCl-and Se-films

The fine structure of the tracks of 238U-ions (8-17 MeV per nucleon), released in evaporated AgCl- and Se-films, was revealed without any further amplification by high resolution electron microscopy. (author)
