Ferroelectric solid solutions in the Ca3(VO4)2-BiVO4 system

Description
The existence of a Ca3(VO4)2-based Ca21-1.5xBix(VO4)14 (0 ≤ x < 2.52) solid solution in the Ca3(VO4)2 - BiVO4 system is shown. A second-order ferroelectric phase transition in the solid solution is discovered. As the bismuth concentration increases, the phase transition temperature is depressed from 1383 K (for x = 0) to 1003 K (x = 2.52) and the ionic conductivity decreases. The maximal second harmonic generation signal is observed for the x = 2 composition. The structure is solved for the x 0.66, 1.66, 2, and 2.52 phases using the Rietveld technique
Abstract (Russian)
В системе Са3(VO4)2-ВiOV4 установлено существование области твердых растворов Ca21-1.5xBix(VO4)14 (0 ≤ х < 2.52), построенных на основе Ca3(VO4)2. В твердых растворах обнаружен высокотемпературный сегнетоэлектрический фазовый переход второго рода. С увеличением содержания висмута уменьшаются температура фазового перехода с 1383 (х = 0) до 1003 К (х = 2.52) и величина ионной проводимости. Максимальная величина сигнала генерации второй гармоники наблюдается для состава с х = 2. Методом Ритвельда определено строение фаз с х = 0.66, 1.66, 2, 2.52Additional details
