Investigation of certain characteristics of NaJ(Tl) detectors in the temperature range from 293 to 413 K

  • 1. Nauchno-Proizvodstvennoe Ob''edinenie ''Soyuzgeofizika'', Moscow (USSR)

Description

Experimental results are described which were obtained in the study of the characteristics of NaJ(Tl), serial vibration-proof and thermostable scintillation detectors, 24x10 and 40x63 mm in size, used in radioactivity logging instruments for the gamma radiation detection. An experimental installation is described and also data on the temperature alternation of the technical light release, dynamics of the luminous energy and spectrum measurements at the varied temperature of detectors are given. The life expectancy of this equipment with its reliable performance is indicated within the temperature range from 293 to 413 K
