Characteristics of air cylindrical chambers with gas amplification under alpha irradiation

Description
Amplitude and counter characteristics of air cylindrical chambers with internal gas amplification under α irradiation are investigated. Dependence of the radius of a region, sensitive to α irradiation rsens on the voltage U0 on the electrodes is determined. This dependence looks like rsens, cm = (0.15 ± 0.01) U0 [kV] within 20-50 μm anode diameter interval at 75% significance level. The ratio obtained allows one to evaluate this region radius when detecting α particles at any voltage on the electrodes and ratio of cathode and anode radii
