  • 2. Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina)

Description

The gastroesophageal reflux can be detected by using a radioisotopic and non invasive method employing as tracer 99m-Tc sulfur colloid. This method is innocuous, bloodless, simple and quick, has a high sensitivity and specificity, which confers a high value in the detection of gastroesophageal reflux. This should be indicated on the patient with esophageal pathology and also on the post-surgical control of those patients who are not able to undertake a clinical treatment
