Description
The Anti-Compton Shield Detector of model FJ422 is introduced. Being used with the ORTEC's HPGe detectors, in the absence of shield, it gives a suppression coefficient of 4.5 to 5.5 in the energy region of 50 to 100 keV for 60Co. The total absorption coefficient of the BGO is compared to that of NaI(Tl), but its volume decreases by 80%
