In connection with the 40th anniversary celebrations, the programmatic direction of the GSF was reconsidered. The following vision statement was formulated. The GSF works on questions related to the exposure of humans and the environment, and the effects and evaluation of pollutants, at different levels of complexity. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Im Zusammenhang mit dem 40-jaehrigen Bestehen wurde die programmatische - Ausrichtung der GSF neu ueberdacht und folgende Vision formuliert. Die GSF-Forschungsfelder Umwelt und Gesundheit sind im Hinblick auf den Menschen sowohl durch analoge experimentelle und theoretische Methoden als auch durch die Erforschung analoger Wirkungsmechanismen und durch die einheitliche Betrachtungsweise ihrer Belastbarkeit miteinander verbunden. Die GSF bearbeitet Fragen der Exposition von Mensch und Umwelt, der Wirkung und der Bewertung von Schadstoffen auf verschiedenen Komplexitaetsebenen. (orig.)
