Institute for Energy Technology
Description
Early in 1980 the former Institutt for Atomenergi became the Institutt for energiteknikk. The change of name formalises a change which has been taking place gradually. Principal functions, such as the Halden Reactor Project, isotope production and gamma irradiation, in the nuclear field continue as before, but the increasing effort in other energy fields, in energy conservation and systems analysis has now become equally important. A survey of the Institute's activities is presented. (JIW)
