Variations of tritium and radiocarbon in water objects of Ignalina NPP district

Description
The presented data are used for estimation of radioactive liquid outflows of Ignalina NPP and for investigation of different geohydrodynamical processes. Also, there is drawn a radioecological conclusion, that the tritium, namely, among all radionuclides, scattered by the largest scale in the Ignalina NPP environment. The highest tritium getting in the lake Drukshiai was in 1987 (1.3 TBq) and in 1989 (0.9 TBq). The highest tritium getting into groundwater was in 1989 (0.9 TBq). The examined variations of radiocarbon are close to global ones, with exception of observation borehole No 5 and Bliuvaklis (Skripkai) lake, where episodic ally 14C concentration increases. Periodically 3H and 14C concentrations are studied in the operation boreholes of Visaginas town water intake, Her the observed variations are closed to conditioned by global and geohydrodynamical processes.
