Intraarterial infusion chemotherapy and local hyperthermia in the treatment of recurrent oral and oropharyngeal cancer

Description

Clinical course ant treatment results have been analyzed mainly in patients with bone marrow tumors and osteogenic sarcoma. The treatment combined gamma-ray teletherapy, chemotherapy, surgical intervention (partial resection or diagnostic vertebrotomy). A 1-year survival after chemotherapy + radiation or multimodality treatment with surgery in bone marrow sarcomas reached 62.6 and 44.4 % of patients, respectively, a 3- and 5-year survival - 39.1 and 22.2 %, respectively. In osteogenic sarcoma the survivals were 75 and 50 %, 50 and 33 %, respectively
