On the existence of superconducting domain walls in ferromagnets
Description
The conditions for the appearance of an infinitesimal superconducting center localized on the doMain walls of ferromagnets are investigated within the BCS model with allowance for the orbital effect of magnetic induction and the paramagnetic effect of the exchange field. It is demonstrated that this type of solution always exists for reentrant superconductors, at least in the region of the metastability FN (ferromagnetic normal) phase. The existence of superconducting domain walls in a stable FN phase in perfect ferromagnets remains an open question since a transition to this state is apparently a first order transition and the transition parameters are unknown. From the viewpoint of realizing superconducting domain walls, of most promise seem to be reentrant superconductors with an irregular magnetic subsystem without a coexistence phase and with a small exchange contribution to the magnetic energy, i.e. compounds of the Hosub(1-x)Ysub(x)Mosub(6)Ssub(8) type
