Description

GAMMA 10 is an axisymmetrized tandem mirror with minimum-B-MHD anchors and outboard thermal barriers. The design, fabrication and testing of GAMMA 10 device are described. Magnetic-field analysis and structural analysis were made and new fabrication method were adopted in order to obtain a magnetic field configuration with high precision and reliability. The error field in the plasma region is less than 0.2% of the designed value. (author)
