ZVE Skoda and nuclear power engineering

Description

A survey is presented of the development of Czechoslovak nuclear power plants with the participation of the Power Station Construction Works of the SKODA concern. The specifications of nuclear power plants which have been constructed (A-1, V-1 Jaslovske Bohunice, Dukovany, Mochovce) as well as of nuclear power plants under construction (Jaslovske Bohunice, Dukovany, Mochovce), and the types of turbines and turbogenerators used are presented. Currently projected is the nuclear power plant in Temelin which is to be commissioned in the 1990's and will be provided with a containment. (E.F.)
