Effect of polarization on the cross section for the reaction 11B(p,α)8Be* and angular distributions of its products

Description
The effect of initial particle polarization on the α-particle yield and angular distribution is examined. It is shown that the polarization of initial particles can increase the yield of α particles by a factor of 1.6, the angular distribution of α particles becoming anisotropic
